THE PROJECT
Modern lighting control for a national landmark.
Auberge de Castille, the official office of the Prime Minister, required an upgrade to its ageing façade-lighting system. Domotica designed and commissioned a modern Loxone-controlled DMX solution while retaining much of the existing infrastructure and minimising disruption to the historic building.
THE REQUIREMENT
Modernise the system while respecting the building.
The new system had to coordinate separate electrical distribution points serving the façade and floor lighting. Installation also needed to preserve the architectural character of the landmark and support its continued operation.

CENTRALISED CONTROL
Separate distribution points, one lighting system.
Loxone coordinates the façade and floor lighting across the separate control points, giving authorised personnel one consistent set of scenes and operating schedules.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Lighting that follows sunrise and sunset.
An astronomical timer adjusts everyday operation throughout the year, reducing unnecessary running hours while maintaining a consistent nighttime presentation.
OFFICIAL EVENTS
Flexible scenes with secure remote access.
Authorised personnel can select dedicated lighting scenes and monitor the system remotely through the Loxone interface on desktop or iPad.

THE RESULT
A stronger nighttime presence with simpler operation.
The completed upgrade gives Auberge de Castille a reliable and flexible architectural-lighting system. Everyday operation is automated, official-event scenes are easier to manage and the historic façade benefits from a consistent nighttime presentation.
